When rebranding Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey, my goal was to elevate the branding to appeal to adults, while being accessible and fun for children. To inspire curiosity and excitement in potential customers, I focused on the aquarium’s strongest asset – its animals – in advertising solutions. The interactive applications were built with accessibility in mind for the wide variety of visitors.

An app helps users plan their trip to the aquarium, buy tickets, and enhance their experience at the aquarium. A dashboard advises users on the best times to arrive and a schedule of activities. The audio component of the app allows users to engage in a self-guided tour based on their location in the aquarium. Users may purchase tickets and store them within the app.
The games section of the app is targeted towards children, allowing them to engage in mini-games. Games are unlocked by taking photographs of a series of icons scattered throughout the aquarium. This specific mini-game I designed helps children learn about ocean animals by asking a series of questions to unlock the child’s “ocean identity”. Of course, the app also contains a comprehensive database of all the animals and their locations within the aquarium.
